A stunningly made pen, the Lamy 2000 Blackwood is a delight to admire, a dream to use and a fabulously manufactured pen. It’s warm and solid, and it’s clear how much time and thought has been put into its creation. The ballpoint cartridge is smooth and writes without the traditional blotches of lesser-quality inks. The palladium-coated knock compliments the deep brown/almost black wood, and has a real solid action to it that rounds off a beautifully crafted pen. Delivery from The Writing Desk was super fast and communications were excellent.

Excellent service as usual from The Writing Desk. As on previous occasions, my purchase was well protected & delivered quickly. It's a Kaweco Dia 2, with extra-fine nib. Possibly my best fountain pen yet. Its wonderful design suits my grip so well that, after over 6 weeks regular use, it's become the pen I use most often for my regular diary entries. Even for longer writing sessions lasting over a couple of hours.I have a few quality fountain pen brands to choose from. But so far, for me personally this pen seems the most comfortable to hold. Needless to say, I'm very pleased with the service & the pen! Both highly recommended. Thank you.

I ordered a cream Lamy Safari at just after 2.00pm on Thursday which joined me for lunch on the Friday. Great price, ridiculously fast delivery-really good. It's just like you'd hope for but not exactly expect. Very pleased with my pen also. And a left-handed nib, which is the first I've seen on a relatively inexpensive pen.
