Just ordered a Conklin Old Glory. Sure not an expensive pen. Yet 32g and long with thick barrel. Just what I was looking for. The colours are great. As for service, The owners delayed their holiday for a few hours so I could pick up the pen. Now that is SERVICE. If you want a pen from a small company that has knowledge and provides a high level of service..... This is the place to go. Well done Writing Desk.

I bought the ink syringe to refill Sheaffer cartridges which are costly and scarce. It is the best £1.50 I ever spent and was delivered the next day. Old fashioned professional service- brilliant! Thank you.

Knowledge of their products is first class. The service is second to none. I recently purchased a pen for my son and the help, guidance was fantastic. They took time to explain the pens available and what would be best for him. The result was, my son was over the moon > even at the age of 40! We went to other shops/suppliers and frankly no other was in the same arena. They deserve success. I am now going back to buy a pen for > yes myself.

I ordered a Pilot VP Stub Nib Unit late on Friday, and received it on Tuesday morning. Very well packaged, but not awkward to open. As always from Anna and Martin excellent, and efficient service.

I purchased a Lamy Aion fountain pen after reading reviews. The pen was ordered on Sunday, and arrived this morning (following Tuesday). It was very well packaged, but not overly so, and everything arrived in perfect condition. Very pleased with the pen, and very much appreciate the free converter. Excellent service as I have experienced before from The Writing Desk. From the brief try out I have had so far the pen writes very well, good ink flow, and feels comfortable to hold (I have some problems with my hand, so a good grip is important). I selected a fine point, and the only note I would make is that it actually feels finer than the F nib in my Lamy Studio. Not a criticism, but maybe of interest. Many thanks for the prompt dispatch.
