I feel incredibly lucky to have found The Writing Desk. A recent clear out unearthed several old, but beautiful, fountain pens that I have had for years. They were all completely clogged up with ink and no amount of soaking got them working again. There are so few companies servicing fountain pens these days and, miraculously, The Writing Desk is quite local to me! They have done a wonderful job of cleaning and repairing my pens. I'm truly delighted.

I received the Pilot 'Falcon' very quickly. It had been tested in advance. It is a beautiful pen, understated luxury. It is a superb writer with a semi-flex/springy nib. I chose the 'fine' nib, which produces a chiselled loine with consistent ink-flow (alwaysa concern with fine nibs . I can alway rely upon Anna and Martin for meticulous service; they are very accomodating should you wish to change the item.

I received excellent knowledgeable and professional service. I asked if my Pelikan pen with custom nib could be delivered before the 2 weeks timeframe mentioned, and amazingly it was with me within 5 days. Amazingly, I sent my Lamy 2000 for a nib swap late on Monday and it was back with me on Thursday morning, having been tuned and tested. Many thanks you for being so efficient. And, by way of a postscript, the oblique is so much more interesting than the ordinary medium.
