I am BEYOND DELIGHTED with my Sailor Pro Gear II in Matte Black, which Anna and Martin and the team kindly fitted with an EF nib at my request. It looks amazing - I love the anchor on the clip and the feel of the matte resin, and the two-tone nib is beautiful. But writing with it really is something else. I requested as wet a writer as possible with feedback, and the nib exceeds all my expectations. But to find that there is give and FLEX in it as well! What a bonus. I couldn't be happier. Today is Wednesday. I ordered the pen very late on Sunday evening. I'm so very happy to have relied on my instinct and followed a website link I read at r/fountainpens. The delivery (good on you, Royal Mail) and customer service is excellent. I will have no worries buying from this company in the future. Make that... very near future. Thank you Writing Desk.

Just received two Schmidt A2 refills. Super quick delivery. Well packed. Great communication and paper work. It's just a shame after all my searching for a supplier for all my other requirements on refills, I didn't find The Writing Desk first, as I could have acquired all the other types (C1, G1 and G2) I bought elsewhere. There are for and against here as prices differ so much, and free or expensive P&P. An example I acquired a 3 pack genuine Parker G2 refills for half price for £4 at Wilko; best price I could find.
