I sent in my pen for a cursive italic custom grind, which returned to me in excellent order. I'm absolutely delighted with the result and now use the pen every day. I will have complete confidence in the Writing Desk to adjust or service any of my pens in the future.

It was with a little trepidation that I sent my Waterman Carene away to have the nib reworked to a left hand oblique but the result has been fabulous: the pen writes beautifully with a wonderful flow with all the benefits of an oblique nib. I am very happy indeed - in fact I’m just about send off a second one!

Great service. They sorted the nib on my Mont Blanc that I'd managed to damage. Writes like a dream now. I wouldn't think to go anywhere else.

This was my first time using The Writing Desk for nib customisation. I sent in an M146 (M) and an Otto Hutt (F) for cursive italic grinds. The turnaround was very good, taking just under a month from sending the pens out to receiving them back. The pens were returned thoroughly cleaned, flushed, and carefully packaged, with clear attention to detail throughout. My only minor criticism is that communication was a little slow and inconsistent at times. However, the quality of the work, reasonable pricing, careful handling, and efficient turnaround made the overall experience very positive. I am very pleased with the work and would happily use The Writing Desk again.

I have long been a customer of the Writing Desk and have entrusted to them the repairs of a rather beautiful vintage Parker vacumatic and my Montblanc M149.I was impressed and very happy with the results, both pens are now again excellent to work with and a pleasure to own. Add to this that I find Martin and Anna to be friendly, patient and diligent folk and you can easily see why I'm a 'regular'.

This is marvellously skilled work. I sent two worn-down, beaten-up nibs, and back came two beautiful calligraphy pen-nibs ready for lovely writing.I take my hat off to Martin and Anna for the valuable expertise and service of the company.

My TWSBI pen was quite badly damaged and unusable. The Writing Desk brought it back to life and I am so happy to be able to use it once more. The entire process from enquiry to completion was smooth efficient and hassle free. Needless to say the quality of the work done was second to none. Thank you Anna & Martin. I sent my 1939 Parker Vacumatic for a bladder repair and general look at. I'm really pleased with the result, A family heirloom is now looking great and fully functional. The Writing Desk also customised my Pelikan M600 nib to a Stub, which I'm really pleased with as well.Great service and very reasonable cost. It's nice to know of a trustworthy place to use in the future.
