I have only ever had positive dealings with The Writing Desk. This was no exception.I ordered a fountain pen and converter for bottled ink. Both shipped very promptly, beautifully, securely packaged; free shipping, and a competitive price -- the converter was even discounted as I bought it with the pen. Why shop anywhere else?In a separate exchange, I inquired about ink availability as they are out of stock of my preferred colour/manufacturer. Amazing service. It was my first time using The Writing Desk and I could not be more pleased. My two inks and new pen arrived in less than 48 hours of ordering and were securely packaged in bubble wrap and those little potato puff things. I shall preface this by saying that at this present moment in time, there are currently many issues with getting items over from the European Mainland to the UK. Due to this, my order took far longer than I (and likely the owners of the business) had anticipated. I requested an update on my order, to which I quickly received a reply from Anna informing me of their troubles with customs, along with an offer to to replace an item in my order with the same item in a different colour to get it to me faster, which I did decline as I was dead-set on the specific colour I had chosen and had no issue with waiting for it. Anna was polite and cordial and my order arrived a couple of hours ago, well packed and complete, and I am having great fun breaking in my new pen. I would absolutely recommend using this shop for as many of your orders as possible, as it's just as well priced - and in some cases cheaper - than places like Amazon, the staff actually care about their customers and you can support an independent business while also supporting your hobby.Five stars is frankly too few to give. Go buy pens now. Go. Do it. Give them your very shiniest pound coins.
