| My TWSBI amber Vac 700 arrived by first class post this morning - as I had hoped; first class service and response from The Writing Desk. The pen, its packaging and accessories are impressive and probably reflect the care, thought and attention taken by the manufacturer. The ink-filling mechanism is both interesting as a concept and to witness! I switched to fine nibs a couple of years ago on my return to fountain pens and an up-to-then lifetime using medium. First impressions of the pen are very positive. One observation is that the fine nib is, I find, slightly finer than my Parker Duofold and Lamy Vista pens, but writes very clearly. Perhaps there should be a world standard for nibs? The Vac 700 fits nicely, price-wise, between the other two pens. I note that The Writing Desk does not stock amber medium nibs.
