I'm very happy with my small but perfectly formed order of De Atramentis ink, a Rotring 'nib unit' and converter. The package arrived nice and fast (standard 1st class), in recycled materials, as requested. I had a query with the converter and my phone message was answered swiftly and the problem sorted out. Very happy and will be back again.

I order just about all of my fountain pen needs from The Writing Desk simply because they are so good to deal with. In the past they have answered my questions promptly and their service is second to none - I ordered a Pelikan special edition on Monday and it arrived on Wednesday! And it had been tested prior to dispatch to make sure everything was AOK! They stock a good range of pens... and inks... and accessories. What's not to like?

Las Monday, at 1pm, I ordered a pen and, at 9.30 on Tuesday morning, it was in my hands. Now that's what I call service!It was a beautiful orange and black Conklin Duragraph, which more than lived up to the photo on the web site.I particularly appreciate that Martin tested the pen before sending it out, as seen on the enclosed compliment slip.I have ordered items from The Writing Desk at various points over the last ten years and The quality of service has always been excellent.

I love the old-fashioned world of the writing desk. Its very name harks back to a by-gone age of individuality, courtesy, personal service, small-scale operations and a time when writing was done with a range of fountain pens, varied nibs and inks- many of which you might think no longer existed. Martin and Anna are a model of helpfulness, efficiency and speedy communication. Of how many businesses- even very small ones like this- can you say that.
