I wrote a review yesterday, and to be honest, it was rubbish. Lets try again. My eldest son knows I love "good old pen and ink"writing, so whenever he gets a payrise, he biys me a fountain pen. The most recent has alot of gold, is heavy, and really needs to be kept in fort knox. It does not write well, is badly balanced, the nib might be so beautiful so as to appear in an art gallery, but quite clearly no one has actually tried to write with the thing. So...several years ago, being in receipt of elaborate, but mostly uncomfortable and unworkable pens, that were good for scratching my ears, but not writing. I wanted to find an excellent, economic, light, easily manipulated pen that had a smooth nib action, great endurance, italic..essential..well the list might appear to be a bit anal, but we pen users do require alot of attention to detail, and thats how I found "The writing desk"!!!!Excellent range of products, all first class products, no rubbish in the line up, but good low price products all the way up to the all singing and dancing models.I need to point out that I want a very particular product that is very highly engineered, very well made, at an everyday price, as I use my pens daily and twenty pages a day is not unusual. Writing desk offers the lot.So when I went looking for an italic nib, long ink cartridge, smoothly engineered nib shaft, and a balanced cartridge holder, so I could write in italics all day long, I found it at the writing desk, a lamy product, and its brilliant, I love it, its fantastic, its wonderful, and that was three years ago. Well, I have written thousands of pages and finally the nib died...(from exhaustion)...nevertheless writing desk was there and supplied the replacement in 36 hours, their normal delivery it seems. What writing desk does do to perfection, is offer you, the very best, really workable, pens available. They are the pen showroom of the UK, online you can find pens that cost hundreds of thousands, but I want a pen thats been specifically crafted to write with, perfectly, now...thats what writing desk does ,provides writing tools, par excellance!!!! So congratulations writing desk. My pen is so good, bought from you, more than three years ago, its just had a service, an mot, etc for less than £20. How good is that? Lamy make fantastic pens and writing desk sell them and maintain them. Most of you will just want a pen to write with. I demand that, but the same pen must be able to do pen and ink drawings/artwork. Must be capable of writing on hand made papers, be extremely versatile, and my lamy calligraphy pen does it all. Lamy is my pen of choice, writing desk is my dealer, my breakdown and rescue provider, and the stockist of the spare parts I need. Wonderful...writing desk...keep it up. Thanks. The pen is mightier than the sword, and alot easier to write with |
