Following Government advice, we are still open for business as on-line business are encouraged to keep trading. You can still order via our website and we are dispatching parcels daily. However, our showroom has been closed to walk-in customers since 13th March.
Update 5th November 2020: Following the recent government announcement, our shop will be closed until 2nd December. You will still be able to order on-line for either delivery or click-and-collect.
Update 14th July 2020: We are now operating an appointment system for visitors to our shop. You can book an appointment on-line on this page. Alternatively, please phone to arrange your visit.
Update 1st June 2020. Many shops will be re-opening from 15th June. We realise that many customers want to come to visit us again so we are putting systems in place in order to be able to safely re-open soon. We can't give you an exact date yet for our re-opening but it will be within the next few weeks.
What we can tell you is that we will have to do things differently. Visitors to our shop will be strictly by appointment only and only one person at a time will be allowed inside. We may have fewer items on display and we will ask you to browse by eye only. Our aim is still to provide the same type of unique pen buying experience as before but within the realms of safe practice.
Postal services are experiencing slight delays, but everything is getting through as far as we are aware. Therefore we request that you leave a reasonable period of time before contacting us about a delayed parcel (two weeks for UK, 4 weeks for overseas).
Some manufacturers and distributors are operating on reduced staff numbers and there are delays in material supplies. Therefore, there may be subsequent delays with the delivery of some products so please be patient if something is out of stock.
The recent advice suggests quarantining incoming parcels for a minimum of 72 hours. This may mean a slower turnaround for both new orders and returns/exchanges.
We're sorry but we don't have the resources to fulfil orders for ink samples at the moment. If this situation changes we will announce on social media.
Deliveries are "quarantined" for a period and unpacked whilst wearing gloves. Delivery drivers leave packages at the door so as to maintain a minimum of 2m distance from any other person. Since there is just two of us and we are a couple, we are maintaining a high degree of isolation.
As we suggested in our last e-mail newsletter, please keep supporting local and independent businesses. It's hard for many at the moment. If you were planning a visit to our shop to treat somebody, why not buy a gift voucher instead? Also, you could send a gift of a pen or some ink to someone who is self-isolating. You can specify an alternative delivery address at checkout.
